Lindsey Eltinge elevates commercial photography beyond the ordinary with a sharp eye for capturing the shot that sells. She is highly regarded by her clients for innovative angles, inspired lighting and creative direction that make her compositions unique and visually arresting. Eltinge has even been called “The Lighting Queen” for her extraordinary ability to make her subjects look warm and natural, whether in a portrait or a product shot, in the studio or on location.

Specializing in food and luxury products, Eltinge’s work encompasses advertising, executive portraits, annual reports, magazine layouts and publications. Her clientele includes Food and Home Magazine, Santa Barbara Dining and Destinations, Montecito Journal, Carpinteria Magazine, AND Design Agency, Wells Marketing and Sharp Print Management. She also photographs for numerous local businesses, restaurants and high-end jewelers.

“Responding to my clients always comes first,” she says, “whether it’s answering questions, solving problems creatively or returning phone calls promptly. My ultimate goal is to change and expand the way people perceive the role of a photographer.”

During photography sessions, Eltinge creates a fun, easy and comfortable atmosphere for the client while remaining polished and professional at the same time. An expert at all aspects of the commercial photographic process, depending on the client’s needs she can handle everything from contributing ideas for the initial design, to staging subjects and proposing creative angles at the shoot itself, to prompt and thorough production work.

Sharing her philosophy, Eltinge says, “To me, photography is much more than just showing up, pointing and shooting. I make a point of being involved throughout the entire process. I want to know how the image will be used and what the design layout is before I take a single picture. I love figuring out the best way to position, accessorize and light the subject for maximum effect, then spending time during production to make the final images shine."

Exotic bird stock photography is Eltinge’s personal passion. She actively donates her talents to educational and animal community organizations, including DAWG, POD (Protect our Dolphins) and Partners in Education, and serves as a volunteer Ambassador for the Goleta Valley Chamber of Commerce.

A San Diego County native, Eltinge has resided in Santa Barbara since 2004. She is married to an active U.S. Army officer and shares her home with two parrots, a pair of cockatiels and a long-haired Chihuahua named Beethoven.
